We will help you succeed in this course. We offer EKG technician course. This course will consist of four weeks of the classroom (theory) and skills. Each student will learn an essential theoretical component that the State approves. Students will be trained on competency skills and theory, which will prepare the students for the certification exam with the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). Students will learn how to perform a 12-lead EKG, properly maintain diagnostic equipment, recognize normal and abnormal sinus rhythms and monitor patients for cardiovascular disorders. An overview of anatomy and physiology, emphasizing cardiac and vascular systems, is taught along with medical terminology, basic patient care techniques, medical instrumentation, cardiac monitoring and testing, and cardiac wellness and rehabilitation.
